The Politics of Protest

Justin Pearson will likely be reinstated in the time of the entire election. Justin Jones is going to be- he was reinstated by the city council, not the voters. If I am literally stopping the democratic process to prove a point, and I get in trouble for it, I don't think that's anti-democratic. But the person who is handing out the punishment is a political actor. It was a political party that decided to do this without her. Yes, but that is not illegal in the United States. Protests is like- It is against the rules of the place that they did it. And nobody said they weren't arrested. Nobody put them in jail, nobody arrested them.
