The Future of Autonomous Vehicles and Artificial Intelligence

Prior to his current role, you were working in the White House as Executive Director of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. I'm curious what was the state of policies on autonomous vehicles and artificial intelligence at that point and really how have you seen them evolve? My interest in this topic of automated vehicles actually grew out of a PCAST project where we looked at technology and the future of cities.
