The notion of it being comparable to little jimmy getting upset because someone talked about slavery in the classroom, monstrous in its incompatibility. You can also feel the broader erasure of things that are poitically possible right where its like those people who we did this to are still the same people that we did it to. That's why we've got to keep doing it to them, because they'll just do the same thing to us. Yes, it's a total flattening of temporality. And i don't think the liberal answer just will just just feel really bad about that. It's got to be something else.
