Exploring Time Travel Abilities and Experiments at the Montauk Project

In 1936 a story written by H.P. Lovecraft, titled “A Shadow Out of Time”, was published in an issue of the science fiction magazine Astounding Stories. The story described a race of extraterrestrial beings who tasked themselves with exploring all of history by projecting their conscious minds into both the past and the future. A very similar task was alleged to have been one of the objectives of a secret military project based out of southeastern New York. Besides time travel, experiments in mind control and interplanetary travel were also claimed to have been accomplished within the underground facilities of the now-defunct Air Force Base. Testimonies of those who claimed to have been subjects of these bizarre experiments say they were brainwashed or had their memories altered in order to maintain the secrecy of the project.
