A hybrid author is someone who sort of has both foot in the doors of traditional and being an independent author. You can sell your sub rights for foreign translations or you can do rights reversion as well which is how I became a hybrid author where I started traditional then I had some rights reverted back on my books so I self-published. As indie authors we have to look at our books as like products and businesses that we can sell little pieces of um what's the name of the gentleman Dean Wesley Smith talks about the magic bakery.
