The Ego's Role in Active Listening

The ego, by default, is just listening only for the words that might en a fall into my mind set of interest. And when people can really be seen and heard by being listened to from an active state of interest, there's a great likelihood that they feel safe enough to open up ask questions of you. So i think that really what we're doing is not about getting rid of the egotes, but integrating the ego.
