I think the missing elephant in the room here is, is all of language learned? Or is there some innate part that bause because it's related to bottom up and top down? Because if you look at the work of george lakoff and metaphorical mappings in language, how we built all this abstract space and language. That whole thing is based on tem plates that i can't see that they are learned. The contained relationship is a transitive relationship that's not learned. We don't come in blank slate and we learn language from bottom up. Children don't learn everything. There's some innate structure that we come equipped with. It's like we have a visual system
