William Gautet has spent the last 20 years writing four books on the East India Company. The biggest massacres of all probably took place in 1857 at the very end of the company. Tens of thousands of people were killed often completely innocent civilians. Over the course of the colonial period and in the mopping up of the 1857 up writing hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians were killed in cold blood. It's just not a tool inconceivable that it was as many as a hundred thousand civilians that were massacred at that time. This is stuff we've got to know because other people know it all around the world people know this stuff and the only people in the sense you don't know
