Putin's Second Major Trip to Central Asia Since the Start of the War
Putin has very few options about where he's able to travel at the name and former Soviet Central Asia is one of the few places he can get to relatively easily and relatively safely. Putin also met Erdogan, the Turkish leader and some of the Middle Eastern leaders. The meeting of Erdogan was significant. He's become a bit of a game between Russia and the West. Also Putin has designed to turn Turkey into a major gas hub. This is important because he's effectively turned the gas off to Europe. That's dropped off remarkably. So Russia's now brought with spare gas, which he needs to send somewhere. And here he was asking for a round table, sitting down, listening to them.
