Pregnancy causes hyperventilation close to term. A normal PCO2 might be around 28 to 32. Women typically will have some degree of respiratory alkalosis. So a pH might normally be around 740 to 747. I honestly have like almost no use for an ABG or a VBG in DKA. You can get all the information that you need to get from your chemistries.
