I think that was very mature of you to share those fears ahead of time and ask and set that boundary. She had an opportunity to say, like, I'm developing feelings for this guy. And she proved herself to not be a very trustworthy friend. As we get older and our circles tighten up, I don't think you need that kind of person in your life.
