The Importance of Female Characters

There's just something about the way villains carry themselves. Very flamboyant, often quite theatrical as well. And another reason that villains are appreciated in a story is that they make the story more engaging and more interesting. One of my all-time favourite villains is Moriarty, Sherlock Holmes' ultimate nemesis. His character was a fan favourite, turbocharging the career of Andrew Scott. But it seems that not all villains are created equally. When he comes to female characters, they tend to get a much shorter end of the stick. Women are held to a higher moral standard. We are expected to be more empathic, kinder, less aggressive,. whereas it's easier for men
