Harjit Sajan said he wasn't checking his emails during the fall of Afghanistan in 2021. Senator Marilou McFedrin, who was a sitting Canadian senator, began to send travel documents from her office. She says that the federal government knew about this and that she was sort of sanctioned to do it. And so when Harjit Sadjens was asked, well, were you, he told MPs at a committee, "I don't know because I wasn't reading my emails"
