The Due Process Clause of the 14th Amendment Is a Prime Example of Negative Rights

Jessica gonzales sued castlerock for violating her rights under the due process clause of the fourteenth amendment by refusing to enforce her restraining order. She lost, and some constitutional scholars have called this decision the death of theFourteenth Amendment for women. It basibly shuts down the possibility to look to our federal government, to our constitution, for protection from physical and sexual violence.
