McKay Loved Hubert Harrison

Harrison had a profound impact on McKay and indeed all the other young radicals. It was A. Philip Brandel who referred to Harrison as the father of Harlem radicalism. And so when McKay wrote a long way from home in 1937, he very much eulogized Hubert Harrison and talked about his his debt to him.
