The Prayer of the Hours
In the middle ages, it was especially priests and religious who lived contemplative lives. Their lives were largely structured around the recitation of the divine office. And so i think saint thomas would probably tell us that reciting the liturgy of the hours is the foremost way of praying for wisdom. In fact, he composed his own prayer for use before study, which i believe is principally a request for wisdom.
