What Can a Virtual World Never Give Us?
We're not embodied in virtual reality. We have avetis and so on, but they're very primitive compared to a physical body. There are people working on forms of sex in virtual worlds as a whole telleduldonic industry. The more disconnected we are from the natural environment, i worry, the more alien it will become. And that seems unsustainable to me. I'm worried about what i think is already happening - our focus on technology has made us alienated from nature.
