Experiments Test Theories
Experiments test theories. But what can the results do? Well, interestingly, if the result of an experiment conflicts with a theory, it does not necessarily mean you should reject that theory. So take for example, the more or less frequent medeor hype that can surround certain high energy physics observations that are reported quite often as ironstein proved false. Ere's almost never a second best theory. Even if there were, that second best theory is second best for a good set of reasons. And if those reasons include things like, it cannot plain phenomena a, b, c, d and f, then there still won't be a reason to turn to that theory in place of the first
