The French Encyclopaedia
In 17 28, an englishman named ephraim chambers published a two volume encyclopaedia. Unlike many encyclopaedias that came before it, this text was written in french instead of latin. The book became quite popular and was reprinted several times in the following decades. Zachary davis sits down with professor angle to talk about the story of the french en encyclopedia.
