The India-Pakistan Relationship in November 2003

In 2003 and 2004 it was a completely military dominated government. General Musharraf as army chief saw it in his political interest to maintain relative peace along the line of control and border with India. He didn't want to have trouble on both sides of the border. But by 2006-2007 President Musharraf's position in Pakistan was getting bigger. By 2008 a civilian government had established itself which now wanted to move positively with India. In that framework the Pakistan military took action to disrupt what Asimbal Isalari was doing. They started doing more violations along the international border and then you had on 26 November 2008 the major terrorist incident in Mumbai. I think what led to the disruption was
