Lloyd Price was a jingle creator for a local radio station in New Orleans. His song Lordy Miss Claudia became one of the defining records of the Rock and Roll era. The track is an attempt to recapture the success of Fats Domino's Fat Man. It has many of the same musicians, the same arranger, and the basic melody that record did.
