"We don't want to continue to give a microphone to power and the people who are in power um you know running the prison regime what we want to do is hear from the folks who are living through this how can we support you," she says. "As we're doing this and we're building community there are a lot of possibilities that can come from this absolutely I wonder if we could talk about the piece that you contributed to the press in prison guidebookUm that we talked about at the top of the episode which is about uh what editors can do to help try and support incarcerated writers yeah thank you so much for asking about that."
