What Kinds of Consequences Should We Be Concentrating On?

Leading virtue ethics theories are fighting over which gives the best account of our common sense moral intuitions. One set of them would be that there are certain restrictions on how we treat other people, all other people. Another set of intuitions will be ones on what we're obligated to do for people with whom we have special connections. And then there are intuitions about doing good for others more generally.
