Reginald Duane-Petz served an eight-year prison sentence for robbery. He is using this character of time, I think, to critique the idea that a criminal justice is served and finished in time. There are all kinds of reaching out that are happening at this poem. And so in many ways, this is a poem exploring its own masculinities.
