The Effects of Blood on the Kidneys

Heart failure, cardiac arrest and pulmonary embolism can all affect the kidneys. All of these have to do with impaired renal perfusion - blood going to the tissue that feeds it. The kidney's ability to filter affects a wet bed in both literally and figuratively.
