The Feeling of Separation
The fear creates this amazing illusion that creates fear on top of fear. The mind is like reality broken into shards of glass and then there are all the reflections coming off the shards. They're so distorted they're not seeing the whole, which is the original completely perfect pain of glass. It's interesting how it just disappears when you are present or just with your experience directly. If it doesn't exist when you're just present just for one second.
