The Forster Estate Offers Passage to India
Ruth Ben-Ghiat: I'd given up the idea of doing the original story of three continents. She said, why don't we attack or try to climb this real mountain of Howard's end? And it was her at her urging that we took it up. We had great success with a film set in 20s in India, which was heat and dust. They were also skeptical when you wanted to do Morris.
