Is Wes Anderson More Like That?

Willem Dafoe: Wes Anderson is a lot like me in that he's very hands on and precise. He gives line readings all the time, it's a joy to get one from him. I think Gene Hackman was, was, was legendarily tough on people. Fran McDormand told me on Mississippi burning that she called him Mean Gene. But Willem told me when we were doing mother's Brooklyn, they had been pretty tough on him too.
