The Effects of Soil Moisture on Soil Health
In 30 or 40 years, the climate miles are suggesting that every summer we'll start to get 105 or 110 degree days. Even though this year's a good example, even though the snowpack is doing quite well up in the cascades, some soil monitoring sites at the snowtail stations are at or near record low soil moisture content for this time of year. That's just a really worrying signal. We're not able to recharge our groundwater supplies very well from a good snowpack year.
