The church is said to offersacri ces of thanksgiving and of good works, not literal. So our governance really going to have more in common with the synagogue,. These gatherings of god's people throughout the land. They're explicitly described in the new testament, they or overseen by elders. You get hints of them in leviticus and in the psalms.
