I Love Knives Out, but Not Active

The detective is to some extent outside the realm of human drama. He's actually the bad guy for the majority of knives out, because we're emotionally invested in Marta and we're afraid that Blanc is going to catch her at the end of it. Even though we like him, just in terms of story mechanics, he operates as the antagonist in this one. I very much lean on Blanc is sort of the fake protagonist in the first part because I need somebody, the audience likes to kind of follow.
