The Importance of Preserving Natural Resources

The Chesapeake Bay, partly because I think we're up near it. It has a huge watershed that encompasses a lot of different kinds of nutrients. What is affecting nutrients and coastlines can often happen many hundreds of miles away upstreams up rivers in areas where you have zero influence or time to get to. So one of the benefits of where we do research in the Bahamas is that the Bahamas actually doesn't really have any rivers. That allows us to do things like conduct experiments where we can manipulate the nutrient.
