Are You a Custodian?

Even running a BTC pay with a hot wallet makes the service provider a custodian. I think most Western jurisdictions would argue that you're not a custodian, and we shouldn't have to rely on that. But then the whole point here is that there's different layers, right? Yeah. It's not just black and white. We're going to have a mix of everything. That's just how the coin is. And the friction, the friction that the regulation adds really, really fucking hurts the individual citizens of any given jurisdiction. So something that government should consider that if you can reduce that friction, you're going to be more competitive business in your jurisdiction - they'll pay you better
