The Unconscious of Freud or Lacan?

The unconscious over-determines all of our actions, according to Lacan and Freud. But is it everything at the same time? It's not a lot clear to me, right? I mean, we don't have to go on about this, but for me, I don't really know where you are with this unconscious. As far as I know, very much, not so.
