In 2004 the internet existed then we'd already gone through the first web bubble. Much better time to be a a rando on TV before Facebook and Twitter. There's now an online archive that has hundreds of thousands of jeopardy clues from past games. People will literally build flashcard decks or build simulators in their houses where they can kind of drill themselves on jeopardy like a rocky movie montage. The fact that syndicated broadcast TV still exists it would be like telling an alien that he-haw is still a big hit or something.
