The Meta Level Framing of the World
I feel like this is relatively new in our culture where we can talk about things like this, you know, at a level that be somewhat common. A part of it is recognizing that your own mental model of the world is flawed no matter what and imperfect. And if you don't have that kind of first principle consideration, then you're never going to be able to have that constructivist agreement. We should sympathize with people who are not comfortable who are not used to the world changing around them. It's difficult for people like us, I think, to fully appreciate how uncomfortable and unsettling that feeling is for people who grew up in a narrower context.
