There was also like four or maybe there was six actual feet tracks that I had access to in the mix so that at any point we could vary the threat of mother by increasing the base thump track versus the ratly great track. So it was a really good tool for ramping up tension. Yeah it's an interesting challenge because mother never yells mother is speaking essentially the same way the entire film so you have to sell that tension through her sound effects that surrounded her voice.
