What Happened to Daphne's Father?

Daphne Westbrook disappeared from her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico around the beginning of 2020. Her mother Rona was contacted by an anonymous sender who sent a video message asking about Daphne's whereabouts. She refused to give any other information than that she was okay and hung up when asked for more details. Police were able to piece together what they believed had happened because John Westbrook used his cell phone to conceal his movements. He'd been charged with custodial interference but dropped off the face of the earth before he could be arraigned on these charges.
