All Falcons are in the genus Falco. The Cara Cara usually has a bright red beak and a whitish speckled head. Their closest genetic relatives are songbirds and parrots, which they are estimated to have diverged from somewhere around 60 million years ago. Do Falcons eat anything dead or do they have to hunt what they eat? So they prefer live prey, but pretty much any predator will scavenge if the opportunity arises or they have to.
