"There's a vitally important role for hydrogen," he says. Carbon capture and storage (CCS) has been offered as a solution to the burning of fossil fuels, as a climate solution. CCS involves capturing greenhouse gas emissions at which they are burned; then you do something with it or bury it underground so that it can't escape.
