Therr, What's the Best Method of Popularizing Your Work?

A lot of my work is sort of, on one hand, inter disciplinary. It's using tools from different fields but in a way that it's often not solving other people's problems. What i've been doing more recently is finding my own problems and sort of developing fields around that. So when you're doing that kind of thing, you have to explain to other people why you care about those things....
