The Importance of Community Engagement in Learning to Code
The first time I went to a Python community event, I was the only woman studying programming. It was completely like they were talking alien and I sat there for two or three hours feeling so stupid. So I left and I never looked back. And then from that I started getting more and more involved. Now my zeal is primarily rails and react,. but I just make marketing pages so I can generate a page at some H. Jamal and CSS do it and ship it. But that's about it.
