It could be that somebody just fails to appreciate, ah, the truth of some proposition. But another interesting case you mention is this sort of interpersonal disagreement. What often happens as people who disagree say, i just don't have that intuition. It's rare that they think, not only are you wrong, but the opposite is obviously ture.
