The Hair of the Dog
In England, hair of the dog is essentially a drink to get rid of your hangover. So the only way out of the hangover is to induce drunkenness again. And it's so revered, I think, as well. Like people are impressed by their stamina or their ability to party and party nonstop. It would be very difficult to be a non-drinker and socialize with friends who will participate in that level of drinker.
