The Centre of Gravity in the NHS and the Wider Economy
There needs to be consistent national thinking for a wider strategy. But there are lots of factors as we all know that mitigate against that kind of thinking and that kind of initiative. We also have the political short termism not least because we're in election year which mitigates against a long term focus. So I think it's up to us to continue to make the case and try to move the policy agenda in the direction of understanding that it's not public or private it's both.
