A lot of people get upset with new usages that don't fit what they would use that word for. Thomas Hobbes in Leviathan described the monster as awful, but not in but not the way we use it. It's like when you're at a restaurant and somebody gets up to go to the bathroom, they always say, I'll be right back. That's just the way it's like, excuse me themselves.
