Is There a Generational Change in Gender Roles?

Gender norms and gender ideology are extremely persistent, I would say, in Chinese society. This is despite the fact that women's access to education has really increased over the decades. So there's still a very persistent concept of what is considered women's work and what is considered men's work. And so you're quite right that I'm not seeing much evidence that traditional gender roles have changed.
