The growing injury is forcing you to set new standards for yourself in terms of movement. So instead of doing explosive stuff now maybe you're walking slower or running in only one direction. You're performing a squat a certain way in order to rehab the growing which is something that maybe you wouldn't be doing if you were completely healthy.
