A coronial inquest was finally granted in february two thousand four. It would focus on the disappearance of colin and the murder of evelyn. Seven months later, the coroner handed down his findings. Despite the deppe's previous decision that there wasn't enough evidence to press charges, he stated that there was a reasonable prospect a jury could convict a known individual of evelyn's murder. Even though colin craig's body had never been discovered, the coroner found that she had died as a result of homicide.
