Family Therapy

I think that many young therapists today are not being well-grounded in systems theory. And just a personal piece for myself, I worked in foster care earlier in my career and it was the height of everybody talking about reactive attachment disorder or these kinds of things. Yes, and I think that's really highlights why I wanted somebody with a family therapy background and training and a deep systemic understanding to be on the podcast. So I would like if we could start out, if you could just walk us through the beginning of family therapy, the whole renaissance of it and the exciting aspect because you're part of that.
